IFFCO-TOKIO was established as a Joint Venture Company in the year 2000 with Tokio Marine Asia. IFFCO and Tokio Marine Asia hold 51% and 49% shareholding respectively in the Company.
The Company has completed 20 years of its successful operations and is among top private General Insurance Companies in India.
The Company continued to be an active player in the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Sikkim. Notwithstanding the COVID19 pandemic and the inadvertent challenges of national lockdown, the company consolidated its presence in the underserved markets through 900 Bima Kendras.
In a particularly difficult year for the insurance sector due to the COVID pandemic, the Company did very well.
